Assistant Director of Community Health and Analysis

The Assistant Director, Community Health and Analysis will be crucial in expanding FARE's capacity to engage in 1) community health needs assessments, 2) community health data interpretation and elevation, and 3) strategic community engagement. This new role will require a degree in public health or health education. Necessary specialized experience includes a history of:

Managing community health studies and performing other analytical work related to data insights.
Developing strong partnerships between academic, clinical, and community stakeholders.
Organizing, administering, evaluating community needs assessment.
Delivering public health programs or similar work experience in the public health field.

Details

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Program Development: Create and manage a portfolio of community health programs, scholarships, and service-learning projects, including initiatives related to health education, access to healthcare, nutrition, and wellness.
Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and community stakeholders to identify and address health disparities within the food allergy community.
Community Engagement: Engage with community members across the US Southeast and US Southwest to better understand their needs, concerns, and challenges regarding healthcare access and health outcomes.
Advocacy: Advocate for policies and initiatives that improve the health and well-being of individuals with food allergies, especially those from marginalized communities.
Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data related to community health outcomes, using data-driven insights to inform program development and decision-making.
Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing team of professionals dedicated to community health initiatives, providing mentorship and support to ensure program success.
Financial Management: Manage budgets for community health programs, ensuring fiscal responsibility and accountability.
Reporting and Evaluation: Regularly report on the progress of community health initiatives to the executive team and board of directors, evaluating the impact of programs and recommending improvements.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Must have expertise in community health, consensus building, evaluation, and policy change, which will help with sustainability and scaling
Dynamic writer and proficient editor.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Exceptional communication, advocacy, and networking abilities.
Commitment to FARE's mission and values.
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills; ability to persuasively convey FARE’s mission to various audiences.
